I like old pictures.
I like China.
I
really like this blog, which is all old pictures of China.
It hasn't been updated recently, but still. Gorgeous stuff. Taken by the blogger's grandparents between 1910 and 1937.
More of his pictures are
here, part of this
archive of old images of China.
For those of you simply sick and tired of China (or who enjoy nightmare scenarios of what-to-expect-while-traveling), check out the absolutely unrelated
Talk Talk China, whereon three expatriates moan about China. For people who are
angry with China (in a funny way). Or
there's always this bit of bad behavior....

Or, if you really like real nightmares, check out
Photojournalist Maohair's documenting of China's traffic accidents. There are a lot of drivers, and not much in the way of regard for the rules of the road. Our facilitator explained that you saw very few accidents because most people just carried cash in the car. If you whack into someone, you just decide how much the damage cost, fork over the money, and drive away. "No police, no sitting by the side of the road and waiting and waiting. Insurance and police only for big accident!" Which does happen, I guess.
