Especially afraid of flying Chinese airlines?
Don’t read this. And, really, don’t look at the pictures.
On the other hand, if you’re pilot, you have absolutely GOT to see this. And bear in mind, this was an international flight that landed and took off safely without incident. Well, more or less.
I am entirely in awe.
I am a retired airline pilot for a major carrier. Those pictures are remarkable. Like most things, you get what you pay for, and in aviation, cheap can be very bad.
Jet engines are very reliable, and will run with a lot of damage. Most carriers follow careful maintenance, but beware of carriers from third world countires.
In 37 years of airline flying, I shut down three engines, flying is a lot safer than driving.
